Are we the right music school for you?
Loveland Academy of Music is Loveland’s largest music school, with over 1,000 lessons taught each month. At the Academy, each lesson is tailored to meet your unique goals and needs as a music student. We know that it is important for you to find the right place for you or your child to grow in your musical abilities. While you are here researching the best school for you, please consider the benefits of becoming an Academy student and find out why we are Northern Colorado’s first choice for music lessons.
1. Individualized music instruction
Whether you have a young son who wants to try out music lessons for the first time, or are a high school student preparing for a music major in college, we personalize lessons to accomplish your dreams. This ensures that YOU get to choose what your goals are, and meet them in a way that works best for you.
Relationships are a key factor in learning music. We choose our instructors carefully, selecting those who are both experts in their field AND have warm personalities. They are patient and encouraging, and will support you in your dreams. We believe that a great teacher is also a great mentor and role model. We’ll get to know you personally, and help you use your passions to create music to share with your world!
2. Work on the music YOU enjoy!
We teach a wide range of musical styles, from classical to rock, sacred to modern pop music
3. Experienced piano, guitar, voice, drum, bass, mandolin, banjo, and ukulele instructors
All of our teachers have college degrees in music and/or extensive performance/teaching experience. We choose our instructors for their warm personalities, and their passion for music and teaching. Our teachers work well with both children and adults, and are dedicated to helping you to achieve your goals. They are friendly, patient, and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level. Music is our passion, and we love sharing it with you. No two lessons are the same, because each one is centered around YOU! Our instructors will listen carefully to you and what you want to achieve, and then help you develop a plan to meet your goals. They work well with a wide array of youth and adult students with special abilities and challenges. Adaptive lessons are available for students with special needs. And with multiple teachers for each instrument, we have the right fit for your musical journey!
Our students say: “[Our teacher] has passed his passion and love for music onto my daughter… I cannot believe I don’t have to “tell her” to practice. 🙂 She is always energized about what she has learned after a lesson. [Our teacher] is organized and yet flexible with the students. He is willing to teach to how a child will respond well, especially if they are coming to their lesson after an already “long day.” He seems well versed on what he is teaching. My daughter loves him!… And Karen, we just can’t say enough…the communication with her is friendly, yet concise and keeps us on track with schedules, recitals, etc. LAM feels like an extended family and we are so thankful to all of you for being fantastic role models while sharing your love of music with our daughter.”
-Christine R., Loveland, CO
4. Fight boredom!
Music lessons are taught in an innovative and fun way to keep students learning and growing, whether you are a young child or an adult. We use various types of media to spark creativity and keep lessons interesting as you learn your instrument. Our students love to practice!
5. Trophies, certificates, and award wristbands to celebrate achievement
We are the only music school in Loveland OR Northern Colorado that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces (see picture below) by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder is our unique method of music education that you can only get here.
More importantly when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins. You can only get the Musical Ladder here. We also specialize in music lessons for adults.
6. Learning to play an instrument can help with schoolwork skills
Patient, loving teachers work with students to develop good practice skills on their instruments that can also help boost grades in school. Learning to play an instrument has been shown to help develop spatial intelligence in children. Learn more Our students learn skills that help improve focus, listening, and communication.
One of our parents says: “My daughter was struggling with reading. I put her in music class playing piano. It improved her self esteem a great deal. We decided to put her in vocal lessons with Loveland Academy of Music and her reading level jumped from a 37 reading level to a 93 reading level. I was so excited to see this change in as little as 4 months. We are so happy with all that Loveland Academy of Music has done for my kids.”
Sabrina W., Fort Collins, CO
7. Convenient for families and busy adults
We offer a wide range of lesson times, which makes our music studio ideal for school kids, homeschoolers, and busy adults. You can choose from morning, lunchtime, afternoon, or evening lessons. We are open six days a week; by appointment, weekdays from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Parents and families are invited to come in and relax. You are always welcome to join your child for their lessons.
