December Student Showcases:

Friday December 8th
Saturday December 9th

The Student Showcases are quickly approaching!  We’re so looking forward to your performance.

Recitals are designed to give musicians consistent and gradual performance experience.  It is extremely important that you have POSITIVE performing experiences!  Often students are pushed to perform when they are not ready, and this can be damaging.  Here at the Academy, we stress that recitals are optional.
Here’s how it works:

  1. Talk with your teacher to ensure you are ready.  We are currently in process of finalizing the lists for the December recitals.  It is ultimately the teacher’s call as to who goes on this list.
  2. Note your recital time.  Students play in ONE of the showcases, but we offer twelve different performances to keep each one short and sweet!  Your assigned recital time will be sent to you both in hard copy AND email letter in early November.  If you are not sure which recital you’re performing in, just call our office at 970-581-3553.

One of the many benefits of being an Academy student is that we host showcases every 6 months (June and December).  If you are not quite ready to perform, don’t worry; there’s another recital right around the corner, no more than 6 months away.  If you want to perform, please talk to your teacher ASAP.
Unlike other schools, we do not charge any admission or participation fees for our recitals.

Refer to our office to confirm which performance you are scheduled to participate in!

The showcases will be held at the Good Samaritan Village in Loveland (Derby Hill), at the Spiritual Life Center.  Look for the Welcome Center sign as you are parking.  We recommend that you arrive at least fifteen minutes early to park, find a good seat and get settled before the program begins.  Make sure you bring your instrument and music book!

The Spiritual Life Center is a beautiful auditorium with a nice baby grand piano.  We love doing recitals as an outreach to our community.  As you enter the room, make sure you pick up a recital program.  When it is your turn, we will call your name.  Just go straight to the stage, take a second to relax and breathe deeply, and then have fun playing/singing your song!  When you are done, smile and bow to the audience, and then return to your seat.  Photography/video recording is allowed during the performance.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at (970) 581-3553, or at info@lovelandacademyofmusic.com.  You can get recital information and a map of the location on our website at www.lovelandacademyofmusic.com, on the Recital Info tab.

You have been practicing hard on your performance pieces, and we are so proud of you.  Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with you!
